ABSTRACT: The central focus of this talk is the computer analysis of pictorial information acquired (and eventually shared on the Web) by imaging devices. In the last two decades such devices (camcorders, tablets, mobile phones, etc.) have been dramatically diffused. Moreover, the increasing of their computational performances, combined with an higher storage capability, allows them to process large amount of data. Computer Vision and Image Understanding refers to all aspects of image analysis from the low-level, iconic processes of early vision to the high-level, symbolic processes of recognition and interpretation. Among others, we are mainly interested in solution able to work on specific contexts such as Multimedia Forensics, Scene Understanding and Video Analysis.
